Tanzi Kant works with reclaimed textiles to make jewellery,
sourced from unwanted saris, scarves and dress-making off-cuts, which she combines
with hand-formed pieces of porcelain. Through techniques such as binding, knotting and
stitching, the fabrics are transformed, and in some pieces their original form
is visible, allowing the wearer to feel and remember the origins of the
material. The methods of wearing by draping, wrapping and knotting also refer
to the origins of the fabrics, such as the sari and scarf. I have included Tanvi in my work because she has inspired me to not just use junk in my project and given me the idea that I could 'reboot' old jewellery.

Key
I have decided to use an old broken key in this project, so far all I have done is paint it white and add text. Not too sure what kind of jewelery this is going to be yet!
I decided to add my key to my broach. I felt that the broach looked lost on its own so I decided to add to it.
Broach
After my teacher gave me some broach clips I got the idea to make a broach. I have used bottle tops again for this idea i have flattened one for the bottom and used a normal one for the top so that it looks raised in the middle. I then just used a glue gun to attach the clip. Another way I could make a broach is by using old recycled material and image maker.

Bracelet
I decided to make a bracelet out of recycled items. I thought that a spoon would be a great idea. The spoon was really easy to bend as it was rather thin. I am planning on decorating the plate at the front with acrylic or maybe image maker.
After thinking about it I decided to use little beads to cover the front. I love the colour and like the effect I have ended with. I just used pva glue to add the beads.
